Inspirational quotes for arrrting?... I think so!

Its that time again when the pressure is on to create something unique & intriguing for Design Fundamentals...and honestly, I am scared. Ever-present questions that swirl in my noggin: What hasn't been done in art? How can I create something that would actually interest people for more than a few minutes? What am I trying to convey? ....urrrrggh.... well shoot, I sound like a little lost soul, huh. Upon epic procrastination, I stumbled upon [and yes, please go to stumbleupon.com right now because if you aren't creating art, then you should at least be inspired by it!] some good advice/inspirational quotes that I thought were pretty relevant to my current design predicament. Thought I'd share a few, cus maybe you're in a similar situation too... or just feel like reading some nice art-related quotes.

here's the ACTUAL page: http://www.stumbleupon.com/su/2QQnae/inspire.boranikolic.com/

and here's some of the quotes :)

"Think of and look at your work as though it were done by your enemy. If you look at t to admire it, you are lost"- Samuel Butler

"Design is the fundamental soul of a human-made creation that ends up expressing itself in successive outer layers of the product or service"- Steve Jobs

"Don’t make something unless it is both necessary and useful; but if it is both necessary and useful, don't hesitate to make it beautiful"- Shaker Design Philosophy

"To understand the meaning of design is… to understand the part form and content play… and to realize that design is also commentary, opinion, a point of view, and social responsibility. To design is much more than simply to assemble, to order, or even to edit; it is to add value and meaning, to illuminate, to simplify, to clarify, to modify, to dignify, to dramatize, to persuade, and perhaps even to amuse. Design is both a verb and a noun.It is the beginning as well as the end, the process and product of imagination" - Paul Rand
