Pistachios - Chelsea, Brooke, Alexandra

For our first observational exercise, we wanted to focus on the pistachio and break down the process in which people take apart and eat pistachios, as well as the process of picking the pistachios from the tree. 

We tackled our design in two different ways. We first created a poster layout of the development of the pistachio as it's being broken apart. We also created a hanging wall piece to represent the evolution of the pistachio as it moves from the tree to human hands. Just as the pistachio moves from the natural and organic to often a human-touched and processed process, the hanging piece also mends the two elements of man and nature.
