My Favorite Designer

If I were to say that I have a favorite designer, I would probably have to choose the ever famous and elusive graffiti artist Banksy. I think that what really draws me to his designs is the fact that no person has ever seen him in person, or even know when or how he performs his designs. His messages are all very intriguing and sometimes even darkly hilarious. I also chose Banksy because he is one of the first graffiti artists whom I have ever heard in my life. My friend introduced me to his works while I was first learning how to breakdance with him. My friend would go on saying how much of an influence Banksy is in his own graffiti works and say how big of a deal Banksy is in the graffiti subculture. Ever since then, I have been constantly looking up his works and getting inspired by his ideals and his designs.

Inspiring Designs

To reiterate what one of my classmates said, I do not know enough designers to truly have a favorite yet. However, a design company from the given list that really caught my attention was Marimekko. This is a Finnish company that specializes in fashion and textiles. Personally, I am drawn to their designs because of the simple lines paired with bold colors. Since the lines are so minimal and delicate, it really allows the colors to dominate the canvases in a very expressive way.

Here are two of my favorite designs:

Hey guys! one of my favorite designers that inspires me is Rik Lee. I actually have one of his drawings tattooed on me. His illustrations are amazing and one of a kind. He works with grey lead pencils, textas, watercolours, and his computer.

My Favorite Designer

Hey Guys! While I'm not very familiar with many designers, one inspiring artist whom I came across recently is Jenny Liz Rome.
"Pisces" by Jenny Liz Rome
"Bear #3" by Jenny Liz Rome

I found her work on this great website: http://society6.com/ where anyone can create a profile to upload their art and the company Society 6 will make prints and products (such as phone cases, shirts, bags, etc) out of it to be sold to the public. Also the artist receives part of the profit!
