We had such a great class on Thursday! Making journals was a really cool lesson and I thought every single one looked amazing. (If anybody wants to remind me of all the supplies we used, I'm half tempted to take a trip to Micheal's and start making these as gifts.)

Here's mine. Sorry I didn't get any process photos.

Bookmaking

Like everyone else, I learned a lot from this session. The first book I made wasn't too interesting, but this second one is half-sized, made with leftover cereal box and duct tape (favorite materials of mine). I also got to use the fancy book cutter. As is obvious, I try to write down daily things that I learn. For example:

Cool stuff.

Journal/Bookmaking

I really enjoyed this exercise when we learned to make books out of paper, cardboard, and glue. I regretted not bringing better quality paper so I could use it as a sketchbook or artbook, but I think I'll be using them as more of a write-in diary. These could also make as really nice gifts if you personalize them for friends. I think I actually like the journals without borders.

I really liked my yellow and blue interior the color contrast is amazing (although a Bruin color). There's also some silver within the bright blue color with quotes like "Creativity takes courage" and "Who ever said that pleasure wasn't functional?". And of course some pink (my favorite color).

I'm looking forward to making some more when I have more time and better quality paper =).

journal/bookmaking

I thought the bookmaking workshop was a good idea. I use this journal as a diary and I write down my daily thoughts and reflect back to the days.

Bookmaking!

I decided to try the book binding where you stitch the pages together; making the holes isn't hard if you use a hammer and a push pin. I'm planning to use my journal as a dream log. I used to write down all of my dreams in high school and I'm excited to start again. :)

I really enjoyed the journal making workshop! I made this journal for my older sister, Ivana because she's a journalist and loves to write so I knew she could put it to good use:)

Journals, woohoo!

Fun times making journals. I made one for my roomie because her birthday is...relatively soon, and she loves to write. Attempted to put exacto-skills to use by cutting out her name
